I’m fascinated by the way light is reflected off an engagement ring, detailing on a wedding dress, the quick squeeze of hands, or a glace between two people in love when they don’t realize I’m looking. Often I hear from my clients from engaged couples to brides, expectant moms-to-be to seniors that their favorite photos from their shoot aren’t the major shots that everyone expects but the little moments and special details that capture the life in a moment, and it’s those moments that a photographer knows to anticipate by intuition and experience, something that a book or class can never teach you.

Adding flowers to your hair is not just limited to brides, flowers photograph beautifully in so many different settings, from wedding and engagement photos, to family and senior photos! There’s something about flowers and nature that bring such a fresh essence of life and joy to just about any setting.

When selecting your flowers for your session I recommend experimenting ahead of time to make sure that your hairstyle compliments the flowers that you have chosen, or vice versa if you have already decided on your hairstyle.
